Quest for Fulfillment

What have you been using to fill your vacuum?

Some people use drugs, alcohol…chocolate.  Whatever your addiction, this is your ‘consumption’ also.  Out addictions consume us, like fire.  They take away from us and make us feel empty, wasted, and wanting more.  They make promises that they never fill. No matter how much we give in to our craving, we will crave more.

Our quest for fulfillment is never ending.  It is far reaching, and it affects all of us.  If we try to make our own way, it’ would be like travelling across the United States without a map, without ever having seen a map, and without roads.  But God has promised to teach us where to go.  All of us can have a successful quest, if we know the mapmaker.

And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide Himself any more, but your eyes will constantly behold your Teacher.  And your ears will hear a word behind you saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it…’ (Isaiah 30:20-21 AMP)
